I’ll be taking a few days off from this blog. Should be back around Thursday.
We thoroughly enjoyed the Walker family recently. We have been close friends for many, many years. Though Janice and I had to work most of the time they were here, I think they enjoyed just chillaxin’ after finishing up another year of teaching school and then immediately going to church youth camp for a week.
I was amazed at how much their son, Steven, had matured since we’d seen him last. I told him he’d gone from being my nephew to being my peer. I don’t know how a 19-year-old likes being told he’s a peer to a 56-year-old geezer, but I thoroughly enjoyed spending time with him.
I’ll be away from this blog because of time we’ll be spending with another family that is equally dear to us. Wouldn’t you know, we picked up six cases over the weekend … Josh, Mark, and Donna will have plenty to keep them busy.
