A couple of weeks ago I was experiencing quite a “down” time in my life. I was stressing out on various levels (certainly not from physical exercise!) and wondering just what our future might hold. Business was very slow (still is slow, but not as slow). Hard decisions were being made to cut our expenses.
To say the least, I was wondering if God was hearing any of my prayers. Something about which I often wonder.
The day it all came to a head and we had to let one of our employees go, we got a phone call from an aunt of mine who lives on the other side of the country. She asked, “Greg, is anything going on with you that I need to pray about?”
I asked why she would ask that question because, in fact, there were several things going on with us that I would appreciate her remembering in prayer.
She told me that morning she was praying and was asking God to be with a nephew of hers (my first cousin) and instead of his name coming from her lips, my name was mentioned and she was not even remotely thinking about me!
I told her our situation and she promised to continue to lift us up in prayer.
About the time I was wondering if God was, in fact, hearing our prayers or remotely aware of our situation, He does something like that!

I would call that a big “thumbs up” confirmation.

I think that at the very least it shows that God is listening and has others interceding on your behalf.
God IS listening and there ARE others interceding on your behalf. ALWAYS!!

I love it when God allows our eyes to be open for just a moment to see how He is working in our lives. Thanks for sharing Bro and praying for you from the East Coast.
I love the wonderful ways God interacts in our lives and your story today is a perfect example.
I have noticed many times when I am stressed over something that when I read a scripture or devotional God gives me reminders that he is listening.
I think God does this sometimes this way because He has a sense of humor. I can hear him saying right now, “You silly rabbit!”
And, yes, there are many who pray for you and yours real often.
Absolutely. I’m constantly amazed at the “confirmations” I get when I look around.
at least you recognized that GOD was putting your name on her lips!!!!! some people only see coincidence and never realize the presence of God. Kinda reminds me of the joke of the guy looking for a parking space and promises God something of himself if He can get him one. Just then one opens up and the guy says, “never mind, I found one myself.” THANK GOD that man is NOT you!!!!!
